Dear Valued Customers:
In order to cooperate with the "New Guidelines for Public Communications Service Prepaid Registration" implemented by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) on January 1, 2018. All service providers, domestic users, and foreigners will be required to comply with the prepaid registration procedures for e-commerce, other than providing your ID card or passport to verify your identity, you must also submit the originals of the latest utility bills, Telco bills, or internet bills to verify your residential address before completing the registration procedures.
The new guidelines are designed to address the abuse of public communications prepaid services and to avoid being used by people to commit crimes and terrorist activities to threaten national security. The same goes for the foreigners who need to provide passport documents. The former chairman and current director of Communications and Multimedia Forum of Malaysia (CFM), after attending the forum’s annual meeting, told the media that foreigners also need to provide passport documents, hotels, or homestays to verify their identities and address in order to complete the procedure.
"Once it is found that the information provided by the user is wrong, the service provider will immediately stop the user's service."
MYPOZ requires the customer account showed the unauthenticated to undergo identity verification starting from 01/07/2020.
Customers must complete the identity verification before 30/09/2020, or else, our company will prohibit any consolidation transactions on the account by default.
If the account is not verified, our company reserves the right not to provide service guarantee for all packages in the customer account, and also provide customer service.
Sincerely,
MYPOZ CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT
